Draft Guidelines on E-Commerce for Consumer Protection – Extend for public comments.

MINISTRY OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS, FOOD & PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION has issued these guidelines which “may be” called the “E-Commerce Guidelines for consumer protection 2019“.

These Guidelines are issued as guiding principles for E-commerce business for:

  1. Preventing fraud,

  2. unfair trade practices and

  3. protecting the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.

These Guidelines will apply to the Business-to-Consumer E-Commerce, including goods and services, which also include digital contents products.
